GISS Center teams up with faith-based organization to give away 100 portable cribs and provide infant safe sleep education
More than 100 women and families registered and attended the “No Child Left Behind” SIDS Risk Reduction Workshop on Saturday, May 6th at the Detroit Health Department, 55 W. Seven Mile Rd. in Detroit.

Community, CJ First Candle, Delta Children, the Global Infant Safe Sleep Center and a host of partners offered a free infant safe sleep workshop and gave away more than 100 cribs in recognition of Mother’s Day. Parents, grandparents, and other family members from Detroit (Wayne County), Macomb and Oakland counties attended the event.
The morning was all about keeping our babies safe — placing babies on their backs at sleep time, the benefits of breast feeding, and how to create a safe sleep environment.
